The Xbox 360 game Kinect Adventures Is slated to be released on November 4, 2010. This new Microsoft release is designed to take advantage of the Xbox 360 Kinect device’s motion capture capabilities and deliver true 1 to 1 motion detection in the Kinect games.
In fact, the word is that Microsoft has completely revamped the configuration of the Kinect technology for body recognition to make it much more adept at recognizing the player’s true body motion. It has especially been changed up to make the Kinect better at recognizing the true body motion of seated players.
Kinect Adventures has a wide variety of games to play. One of the most highly anticipated games on Kinect Adventures is the game called Space Pop. This game tracks players’ bodies in 3D, forcing players to move backwards and forwards from their televisions during gameplay. The game consists of attempting to pop balls that float through the room that your virtual avatar is standing in. The balls come from holes located in all different locations of the room, and players can even float up to the ceiling to pop them by flapping their arms.
Another game included with Kinect Adventures is called 20,000 Leaks. This game consists of moving your avatar around a glass cube located underwater. Players plug leaks in the cube with their head, hands and feet by swimming around the cube like a fish.
Kinect Adventures will support online play, so it will be possible for players to challenge their friends around the world to competitions. Kinect Adventures will include twenty different games, all of them designed to show off the Kinect motion capture ability to the fullest. All of the games will have the ability to play in a timed mode, a free play mode and an adventure mode. This new title is sure to be one of the hits of the Christmas gaming season, especially since it ships with every new Kinect sensor and Kinect equipped XBox 360!
Certainly, Kinect Adventures is a collection of fun and fairly simplistic games meant to help players get the hang of the new system. But, there are also a large number of more sophisticated titles shipping now including Kinect fitness games, a number of Kinect sports games, and some very good Kinect dance games.
